Editing Needed

I'm still in the middle of reading this book. I think for the most part it is a great story. The editing not so much. It should be offered as a free read on kindle because of that in itself. I'm not a writer nor do I even profess to have great writing and grammar skills. I can forgive one or two misspelled words here and there but this book has some issues overall with grammar and editing. But the story in itself has kept me reading because I want to see how it ends.

The storyline was good, however the main female character was too weak

The storyline was good, however the main female character was too weak. She was heavily abused and continued to take the abuse until her breaking point, until she almost got raped and killed. We need to see books about strong, plus sized women who do not depend on a man for their happiness and who do not take BS from men. Glad she found her hero, however she showed too much insecurity and weakness especially when she came from a strong black family. The book was also too long, way too long.
